Spirit

For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. Romans 8:16 tweet

Spirit: aka Heart, Who You Are, Being

The Creator of the Universe made you in his image – mind, body, and spirit. However, most of the time you are stuck in your head or in the busy doings of life. It’s the cultural norm.  The head is also known as the mind, thinking, or soul which represents mind, will and emotions. What you do, tasks, habits, work, etc. is known as the body, the doing and is represented by the hands. When you are stuck in your head or on the treadmill of doing, you are left inner feelings of uneasiness.  You are missing something, you’re missing out, or life just isn’t as exciting as it should.  You feel numb or dead inside. There is truth in those feelings.   Scripture speaks of this death in Romans 8:6

For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. tweet

To Be Alive Is to Awaken and Live From the Spirit

However, you don’t have to live with those feelings. You can feel alive and find what’s missing when you awaken to who you were created to be.  Your Creator who knows exactly who that beautiful person is. He desires to guide you to the hopes and dreams He planted in your heart from before you were born and he’s just waiting for you.

Who you are consists of your gifts, talents, strengths, personality traits, quirks, unique wiring, values. It is that inner child that has a sense of curiosity, awe, and play. It is where you let go of fear and every doubt that holds you back and walk in child-like faith. Your spirit operates not from a place of fear but a place of love. Love for yourself, love for what you are doing and love for others.  It’s a pretty happy place, and it is my prayer that you find that happiness through reading devotionals in this category.
